Vinyasa Power Flow (Prior Vinyasa experience helpful)

Vinyasa Power Flow is an invigorating full-body flow class with emphasis on building core strength and stability while incorporating the primary postures and fundamentals of a vinyasa yoga class.  Vinyasa Power Flow yoga is an overall increase in intensity from our regular vinyasa yoga classes.  This class strengthens, balances and detoxifies your entire body and mind as you move through more challenging postures and connected breath.

Vinyasa and Vinyasa Flow Yoga (All levels)

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic flow combining strength and spirit. Vinyasa style is characterized by stringing postures together to create movement, seamlessly, using your breath. Class is open to all students, modifications and variations are offered to serve the needs of all experience levels. Be ready to move on your mat and to enjoy yourself as you strengthen the body and mind!

Teen Yoga (ages 12-17)* Coming in the future

Teenage years are an in-between time that is heaped in change. Yoga offers teens a way to find a stable ground as well as a gentle acceptance of life changes. This class  will empower the  young individual.  Teen Yoga strengthens the body, flexes the imagination, and adds a spark of creativity. Teens establish a meditation practice that relaxes as well as stimulates the mind to be taken into young adulthood.

Gentle and Restorative Yoga (All Levels)

This is a great class for those new to Yoga.  The class is gentle and is designed to restore the nervous system and help release deeply held tensions from the body and mind. Restorative yoga poses require no muscular exertion; each pose is held for several minutes and deeply supported by props – blankets, bolsters, and blocks.  During the class, you will be guided to mindfully and consciously notice thoughts and sensations in your body.  Students leave feeling nourished, well rested and refreshed; with a new cultivated awareness and clarity.  Guided Mindfulness Meditation is also incorporated throughout the class. No yoga or meditation experience is needed and all levels are welcome.

Kundalini Yoga (All Levels)

This system of Yoga is based on the teachings of Yogi Bhajan.  Classes are suitable for all levels and vary greatly with some being mild and very meditative and others being more active and energizing.  The format consists of a Kriya, or exercise set, Pranayam, or breathing exercises, deep relaxation, chanting, and meditation. If you enjoy dynamic asana, mantra (sacred sound) and experimenting with other yoga-based techniques then this spiritual practice is for you. Kundalini yoga is an ancient tool for promoting physical well-being, expanding consciousness and tapping into creativity.  Classes may include the healing power of the Gong being played.

Yin Yoga+ with Sound Healing. (Gentle and for All Levels)

Yin Yoga plus positional therapy and sound healing modalities including Gong.  Yin Yoga is a gentle, quiet, and meditative practice that teaches one to relax and accept themselves just as they are. All poses are done on the floor so that the muscles can relax and allow the deep connective tissues surrounding the hips, thighs, and lower back to be gently stretched. Through mindful stretching, Yin Yoga maintains the health of the connective tissue and encourages free flow of qi (energy) in the body. Poses are held for longer periods of time (generally five minutes) and awareness is brought to sensations in the body. Absolute beginners to yoga are welcome! The Yin practice is different from Restorative Yoga though both focus on holding poses for longer periods.  Yin Yoga is rooted in the Taoist tradition.  It is a wonderful compliment to Vinyasa, Hatha, Kundalini, running, cycling or other Yang activities.
